The "Negative Status Attacks" are negative effects sometimes acquired when fighting certain monsters, such as the Apathetic lizardman, Acid blob and Tomb asp.
When the effect blocks a status effect, a message accompanies accompanies the block;
"You step slightly to the left, and some...thing brushes your <body part>."
"Your opponent looks as surprised as you do as you step out of the way of its attack."
When combined with the giant pinky ring, provides 87.5% negative status effect prevention.
